The Warriors fell short in a 4-2 non-league loss at Harriton on Saturday. The Warriors outshot the Rams 25-10, held the advantage on corners 13 to 5, and controlled the ball for most of the game but could not handle the speed of Caleigh Foust who scored three of Harritons goals and assisted on the last one. Foust scored just 19 seconds into the game on a rocket from the top of the circle. The Warriors fought back with Sophomore Alexa Hoover scoring on a pentalty corner on an assist from Freshman Brittany Dickinson. Tied 1-1 at halftime, Foust again was able to get behind the Warrior defense and snuck the ball past Senior keeper Alyssa Rothman to give Harriton the lead with 25 minutes remaining. Senior Jess McCrane tipped the ball past a diving Rams defender on a penalty corner just 6 minutes later on an assist from Junior Asia Crawford to tie the game at 2. Foust again was able to break away from the pack and scored her third goal on a breakaway. Harriton added an insurance goal from Ali Grady on an assist from Foust. Rothman ended the day with 6 saves.
Methacton falls to 2-3 overall. The Warriors will look to bounce back Monday when they host Upper Perk in a PAC-10 matchup at 3:45pm.
