Field Hockey upends undefeated Upper Perk in OT

Olivia Hoover scored the game winner less than a minute into overtime to secure the win for Methacton over previously undefeated Upper Perk. The Warriors strung together an excellent passing sequence which ended with Emily Owens crossing the ball in front of the Upper Perk goalie and Hoover redirecting it into the cage. Hoover scored her first goal also off an Owens assist to give Methacton a 1-0 lead before Upper Perk knotted the game at 1. In the second half, Owens scored a goal of her own off a Jackie Cerchio assist but UP again responded to tie the game at 2. Addie Frey made 10 saves in goal for the Warriors. Methacton travels to Harriton Saturday for a non-league class at 3pm.
