Miley Maloney tallied a team-high 14 points as Spring-Ford jumped out to a 13-point advantage after one quarter and held Methacton at bay to end the Lady Warriors’ 11-game win streak. Six other Rams (15-4 overall, 10-2 PAC, 7-2 Liberty) players scored between three and seven points, with Teagan Finney being next up on the scoresheet with seven points. Spring-Ford has earned the No. 3 seed in next week’s PAC playoffs and is also presently ranked No. 6 in the District 1-6A rankings, giving the team the inside track to receive a first-round bye before hosting a second-round game on Feb. 18.
Meanwhile, Methacton (13-7, 7-5, 4-5) lost for the first time in five weeks. The Lady Warriors, who were led by Ava Wolf’s 14 points, are hoping to grab one of the lower seeds in next week’s PAC playoffs but will need to wait until the league schedule wraps on Saturday to see if they’re in. At No. 15 in the 6A rankings, Methacton is solidly in the district field regardless of whether or not they crack the PAC’s top-six.
