The Methacton Boys Basketball team defeated Whitehall by a score of 47-39 in the opening round of the PIAA State Tournament on Saturday afternoon.  The Warriors used a 17-2 second quarter run to open up a 23-11 halftime lead.  Tom Dyer led the Warriors scoring attack with 18 points, while Justin Ardman joined him in double figures with 11.  With the win, Methacton improves to 25-5 on the season.  Next up for the Warriors is a second round game against JP McCaskey at a site to be determined.
